1999 Chapter VIII
November
| First of all: Until today I drove 1000 km with my 203!
Without any problem, except a small fuel leakage at the fuel pump..but nothing of dramatic. It's really fun to drive without the need to check the water temperature each minute! The last 2 weeks where fantastic: The weather here in Luxembourg is (and was) very exceptional, so I was able tu run each day, after my regular work time, some km's to run the engine in, but it will take some more time to reach the normal status. Yesterday I did together with Leo Becker, owner of the green 203, a trip trough Luxembourg. It was amazing, specially in the city, when people was surprised to see a 203 and 50 meters later a second one. We did a break in Mondorf-les-Bains and we meet the Casino 2000.(The beer is very expensif here...) When we came back on the parking lot, we had real problems to reach our cars, parked side by side, because a minimum of 40-50 people took pictures from the cars! It was a french bus with older, french people and they where happy to see 2 beautiful 203's.
I was also busy, the last time, to work for the local Veteran and Vintage Car Club of Luxembourg and that as "Webmaster". I did the setup from the whole site (very similar to this site) but it took me a lot of hours to get the actual result. If somebody is interested to see my "Work" here is the address: www.vvccl.net One last thing for today: I added a message box on the Start page, that means: Often I got specific questions, concerning the 203. Remember: Exactly 2 years, day by day, I got my 203 and I'm not the expert that some of you expect... A lot of you wrote me and I tried always to satisfy the questioners, but I think that it will be better to write down all the questions in the message box and you will reach a lot of people and get back also a lot of answers...let's try it.
Today, November 21st, Cecile, myself and the "Fonck" family visited the "Retrostory" in Arlon, Belgium. There was a few cars, a very nice MG A , a green Sprite (to sell, very expensive!) some older cars, restored and nice...from far away....for all those who missed this event, believe me, they missed nothing. I parked my 203 outside the hall, the other 203 was inside, see the attached picture...
