Hello Roland,
I hope everything is ok? You remember my 203 with
compresseur? Well I have got another one, a 201
roadster, to be finished.....
I send you some photographs of my 201, because I
like your 201/203 site very much. This is one of the
first 201's (1930) with a special body. The chassis
and engine are standard 201, lucky because engine
parts are still easy to get. The body is problably
manufactured by a coachbuilding company. The sign of
this company is still on the grill, but I haven't
dicovered which company it is. Maybe you can tell me
more about it? I believe that the design is very
beautiful, the caracteristics of the '30 combined
with speed (as far as possible). The car is still
french registered and has an french licensenumber.
The owner before me bought it in Belgium, but
orginal the car was in Carrieres sur Seine
registered. Much about the history I don't know. It
must have driven in Paris, I found a coin of an
Paris restaurant in the car. It still exist. Maybe
someday have a diner over there....
There is still some work to do, as you can see.....
Problem is, I don't have the time for it, so I am
thinking of selling it. We will see.
Best regards,
Nico Kuiper
